A Family Tradition of Music Since 1967

Welcome to The Pied Piper Music Store!

In 1967, two brothers from Huntington, West Virginia had an idea. Chuck and Larry Levine started The Pied Piper from scratch with no guarantee it would work, no roadmap, just a belief that their community deserved a real music store built by people who loved music.

A Legacy That Earned Its Place

They built something extraordinary. At its peak, The Pied Piper had five locations across West Virginia and Kentucky, anchored by a 15,000-square-foot music mall. In 1991, Music Trades Magazine ranked The Pied Piper the third largest full-line music retailer in the United States. Started from scratch, in Huntington, West Virginia. The Charleston, West Virginia store is still open today.

Carried Forward

Chuck Levine's daughter Amy has run The Pied Piper of Charleston since her father's passing sixteen years ago. A Marshall University graduate, attorney, and lifelong musician, Amy brought the family legacy to Central Ohio when she opened The Pied Piper of New Albany. Sharing a building with her law practice at 3 South High Street, right in the heart of New Albany.

It is not a side project. It is the next chapter.
