Tube response you can work with

Two 12AX7 preamp tubes feed a pair of 6V6 power tubes. The gain and master controls let you balance drive against output level, while bass, mid and treble controls keep tone shaping direct. For a bass line that needs a round foundation or a little more texture under your fingers, this is a more focused approach than carrying extra power you do not need.

A useful head for recording

The PF20T includes both a balanced preamp line output and a transformer balanced output. The preamp output offers pre or post EQ selection, and ground lift options help when connecting to external equipment. Unlike many tube heads, this model is designed to operate without a speaker load, making it useful for direct recording when you need to keep the room quiet.

Choose the cabinet for the job

This is an amplifier head only, with no built in speaker or speaker cabinet included. For speaker use, pair it with a suitable cabinet, match the amplifier's impedance setting to the load and use a proper speaker cable. Its 20 watt output is best approached as a recording and lower volume tool rather than a promise of clean headroom over a loud drummer.
