Shape the mids around your band

The three band EQ includes sweepable mids, so you can find the frequency that helps your notes speak rather than simply turning everything up. Add presence with Ultra Hi, or use the three position Ultra Lo switch to reshape the low end. For fingerstyle, pick playing or slap, those controls give you useful ways to adapt your bass to the room and the other instruments.

Clean foundation or Ampeg grit

The Super Grit Technology overdrive offers SVT and B15 voicings, with separate grit and level controls. That lets you add texture while balancing the driven sound against your clean tone. An optional AFS2 footswitch provides remote control when you need to change sounds during a set.

Connections for stage and practice

The XLR direct output gives you a connection to the mixing desk, while the effects loop accommodates external effects. The aux input and headphone output are useful for playing along with tracks and practicing quietly. This is an amplifier head, not a combo: a separate compatible speaker cabinet and proper speaker cable are required for amplified speaker use.

Check your cabinet's impedance and power handling before connecting it. The 300 watt output rating applies at 4 ohms, and output is lower with an 8 ohm cabinet.
