Ernie Ball's Regular Slinky 8-string set is built around the same nickel-plated steel wrap and tin-plated hex core that makes their standard Slinky sets reliable, extended out to a .074 low string that handles the bottom end of an 8-string without going completely floppy on standard or drop tunings.

All strings in this set run 39.5 inches long, which gives you enough length for longer scale 8-string necks and most multi-scale instruments. The .074 has a 37-inch taper, designed to seat properly in the bridge and nut of extended range guitars. If you play a standard 25.5 or 27-inch scale 8-string, these fit and intonate correctly.
