The Tele That Wanted More Without Giving Up What Made It a Tele

The Telecaster Deluxe was Fender's answer to a specific moment in the early 70s when players wanted more from a Tele without giving up what made it a Tele. Wide Range humbuckers, a larger headstock, and a Stratocaster style neck heel. It was a different instrument, and it found its own voice on its own terms.

The Vintera II version gets the details right. The Wide Range humbuckers are warmer and thicker than standard Tele single coils but they still have clarity and definition. You are not trading snap for mud. The synchronized vibrato bridge adds a dimension that the standard Tele bridge does not have, and it stays in tune well enough to actually use it. That matters.

A Neck That Feels Like the 70s

The 70s C profile maple neck with a 7.25 inch radius and vintage tall frets is a combination that feels immediately familiar if you have spent time on older Fenders.
