The Meinl Percussion Sun Sound Hole Designer Kalimba gives you a warm, melodic instrument you can reach for when you want to explore a tune without setting up a whole rig. Its 17 notes come tuned to C major, so you can work on familiar melodies or simply follow your ears and see where a pattern takes you.

Warm tone with clear note guides

Pluck the chrome plated steel keys with your thumbs and let the sapele wood body add warmth and resonance. The sound hole helps the notes ring, while engraved note information gives you a reference as you learn a melody. The Sun design adds a distinctive accent around the sound hole.

If you are a percussionist looking for a melodic change of pace, or a new player wanting an approachable thumb piano, this kalimba gives you a straightforward place to start. The included travel case makes it easy to pack away between sessions, and the tuning hammer lets you make adjustments when needed.
