This 2013 USA-made example in Red Fade is the limited-run Deluxe version — not the standard SG — and the difference is immediately obvious. The AA figured maple top gives it visual depth that a plain mahogany SG just doesn't have, and it adds a touch of brightness and articulation on top of that classic mahogany warmth.

Three Gibson '57 Classic humbuckers is the real story here. Most SGs run two pickups. This one gives you a middle position that opens up a whole range of tones you can't get from a standard SG — warm neck jazz tones, glassy middle-position cleans, and full-on bridge crunch, all from one guitar. The chrome Bigsby vibrato tailpiece adds smooth pitch movement and serious vintage character without the tuning instability of a cheaper trem. Grover tuners keep it locked in.

The mahogany neck has a comfortable profile with a bound rosewood fingerboard and split diamond inlays — details that put this firmly in premium territory. Comes with the original hardshell case as shown.
