The 110ce is the guitar we recommend more than almost any other when someone walks in and says they are ready to get serious. It is a real acoustic guitar at an attainable price, not a beginner instrument with beginner compromises.

The most important thing to know is the top. A lot of guitars at this price use laminate, which looks fine but never really opens up. The 110ce has a solid Sitka spruce top. That means it sounds good now and noticeably better in five years as the wood breaks in. That is a meaningful difference, and it is why players who do their homework keep coming back to this model.

The dreadnought body gives you full, wide projection that works for strumming, flatpicking, and singer songwriter playing. The Venetian cutaway keeps upper frets reachable. Layered walnut back and sides add warmth without fighting the spruce top. The ebony fingerboard on the tropical mahogany neck is smooth and plays fast.

Taylor's ES2 electronics sit behind the saddle and pick up the guitar's natural resonance rather than a thin processed signal. Plug into a PA or an acoustic amp and it sounds like the guitar in the room. That matters on stage and at rehearsal.
