The 214ce-BLK Plus is the same Grand Auditorium platform as the standard 214ce, with two meaningful upgrades: a torrefied Sitka spruce top and an all-black gloss finish. If you're familiar with how torrefied tops behave, you already know why this matters. If not — torrefaction is heat treatment that removes moisture from the wood at a cellular level, giving you the tonal response of a seasoned, broken-in guitar from day one. More warmth, more dynamic range, less of that stiff-top feeling new guitars sometimes have.

The all-black finish isn't just cosmetic. The gloss black binding, headstock, and body give this guitar a completely different visual identity than a natural wood guitar.
