The Washburn M1 Americana mandolin pack gives you an A style mandolin and the basics for getting it to your first lesson or session. The gig bag, strap, picks, pitch pipe and booklet are included, so you do not have to shop for each piece separately.

The M1 pairs a solid spruce top with maple sides and an arched maple back. That is a useful combination for players looking for clear picked notes and definition in chord accompaniment. Traditional F holes and a gloss Sunburst finish give it a familiar acoustic mandolin look, with a bound rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge.

For your first tunes or a different part in the band

If you already play guitar, mandolin can give a song a different rhythm and register without adding another guitar part. If this is your first string instrument, start with a comfortable picking motion and a few clean chord changes. You can work on melodies and accompaniment at your own pace, then take the instrument along in the included bag.

Buying for another musician? This is the A style M1 pack. If they have asked for a particular body style or need to plug into an amplifier, check with us before ordering so we can help you choose the right instrument.
