Getting regular time behind a kit is not always easy when you share your home with other people. The Yamaha DTX452K electronic drum set gives you drum sounds through headphones, built in training tools and a compact rack based setup for working on your playing at home.

Make practice time count

The DTX452K includes 10 built in drum kits and 10 training functions, giving you sounds to explore and exercises to bring some structure to your sessions. Start with a steady beat against the metronome, slow down a fill that keeps tripping you up, then bring it back into the song. The useful part is having a setup you can return to consistently.

An auxiliary input lets you connect a compatible music source for playing along. The headphone output lets you hear the electronic drum sounds without using a room speaker. Pad strikes and pedal movement still create physical sound and vibration, so this is not a silent kit. Consider your floor and the people sharing the space when planning where to set it up.

Snare articulation and foot practice

The three zone snare pad gives you head, rim and cross stick options for practicing more than a single snare sound. The bass drum pedal lets you work on coordinating your foot with your hands, whether you are learning your first groove or keeping your timing together between rehearsals.
