Darkness and brilliance in the same setup

Developed with Akira Jimbo, K Custom Hybrid cymbals combine a brilliant inner area with a traditional outer finish. On the ride, the unlathed, buffed center brings defined stick attack and a strong bell, while the lathed edge adds spread and crashability. The crash pairs articulation at the center with a more open response toward the edge. The hi hats use hybrid hammering on the bottom cymbal for a warm chick and wash.

For jazz, fusion or contemporary band work, that range gives you different voices under the stick without having to change your whole setup. Keep your patterns focused near the center, then move outward when the music needs more room.
